Salam to all,
Ramadhan is coming. So,i want to share some information of the important of Ramadhan to all Muslim..hopefully this post will give some knowledge and some encouragement to us in order to perform the obligation.

The Importance Of Ramadan

Ramadan is important for Muslims because it is believed to be the month in which the first verses of the Holy Qur’an (the divine scripture) were revealed by Allah (God) to the Prophet Muhammad (570-632 C.E). From time to time, Muhammad used to go out from Makkah, where he was born and where he worked as a caravan trader, to reflect and meditate in solitude. Like Abraham before him, he had never accepted his people’s worship of many Gods and felt a need to withdraw to a quiet place to reflect on the One God. One night, while contemplating in a cave near Makkah, he heard a voice call out telling him to “Read!” Muhammad protested that he was unable to read. The voice insisted again, and then a third time, and Muhammad found himself reciting the first verses of the Qur’an:

“Read, in the name of thy Lord, Who created Created man, out of a clot (embryo). Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful, He Who taught the use of the pen— Taught man that which he knew not. Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all).” (Ch.96: 1-8)

The voice was that of the Angel Gabriel, and he confirmed that Muhammad was selected for an important and challenging mission; he was to call people to monotheism and righteousness.
Muslims consider the Qur’an to be God’s speech recorded in the Arabic language, and transmitted to humanity through Muhammad, who is considered the last of the prophets. This tradition of God-chosen prophets, or messengers, is believed to include such figures as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus. Muslims believe that over a period of twenty-three years, various verses and chapters of the Qur’an were revealed to Muhammad through Gabriel. The Qur’an is comprised of 114 chapters of varying length, with titles such as “Abraham”, “The Pilgrimage”, “Mary”, and “Repentance.”

During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, every day. This means not consuming food and drink, including water, during daylight hours. For married adults, it also includes refraining from marital relations during the hours of fasting (i.e. the daylight hours). In the Arabic language, fasting is known as sawm. Muslims arise early in the morning, during Ramadan, to have a pre-dawn breakfast meal, known as suhoor. At the end of the day taking the Iftar meal, which usually includes dates, fresh fruits, appetizers, beverages and dinner, completes the fast. Later in the evening, Muslims attend special nightly tarawih prayers at their local masjid. Each night during Ramadan, approximately 1/30th of the Qur’an is recited in the tarawih prayers, so that the entire scripture is recited in the course of the 29 or 30 days of the month.

MENGHADAPI UJIAN ALLAH

Kali ni nk post tazkirah tuk kita renungkan bersama..tajuknya ialah Menghadapi Ujian Allah.. dah lama tak 'update' hehehe.....renung-renungkanlah dan selamat beramal...

MENGHADAPI UJIAN ALLAH

Friday 23/4/2010

As usual me and ismail take breakfast early in the morning. Our menu is 'nasi lemak murah' hehehe.Everyone has to try this menu.It is very delicious and we only have to spent RM1.50 for this menu.It is cheap and more than enough for our breakfast:).Immediately after breakfast,we started our job.We need to submit one proposal to our boss.Me and Ismail worked on it.After a while me and Ismail were stuck about the detail of the program. One brief discussion was held to solve this problem. After about one hour of brainstorming ,Ismail came out with great idea and followed by clever justification from myself. We both agreed about our idea and plan. We continued our work without delaying even one single minute. After 3 hour we came out with one proposal.Politely we submit that proposal to our boss and two words from his mouth 'Good Job!!!'.Me and Ismail just smile and back to our sit.

After a while, one Indian entered our office with a trolley. The trolley is full with long boxes. What boxes is it? that question fluently came out from my mouth. I looked at bro Amir(one of the staffs at Muslim Aid),he started to help that Indian man to carry the boxes.Without any delay,me and Ismail were rushing to help them. After arrange it at proper place,we prepared to go to Masjid for Jumaah prayer.Me and Ismail went there with motorcycle.Actually, masjid is quite far from our office.if we go there by walking maybe it takes approximately 15 minutes.

After we performed our obligation peacefully, we went back to the office.Bro Amir already start his work.Im very surprise because usually he always with his computer, but now he carry along with him a set of 'gadget'.We offered our self to land our hand.GOOd!!!!!!that is the word came out from his mouth.Owh!!!!some release from me.......my question has been answered by bro Amir since he open the boxes.I have my answer about the boxes. The answer is........all of you can refer to the photo above hehehehe.

After finished our work with bro Amir,we prepared to go to Selayang.Madrasah Hasyimiah is waiting for us.We went there in order to teach Bahasa for Rohingyas.Yes I am a teacher.I am a Bahasa teacher hehehe.Just joking!!!!!In fact we are an assistant for Sir Jalil in his class.Since three week as assistant in that class, many input I have learned and some valuable experience i got.Perhaps, some people got the information about the refugee by reading and listening (second hand data),but me and Ismail are able to study them face to face.Furthermore,we are also teaching them, talk to them and involved with them when they are studying.
